Abstract:
Along with the rapid economic development, the scope of urban construction in Beijing has been expanding, and the gradual expansion of the urban boundary line has squeezed the development space of the neighboring villages, especially the characteristic traditional villages, which not only has destroyed the traditional pattern of the villages, but also blocks the continuation of the vernacular culture. Based on the perspective of cultural landscape, this paper draws on the existing research results on the resilience of traditional villages and cultural landscape, selects 20 traditional villages in Western Beijing as the object of empirical research, and constructs a resilience evaluation model of the resilience of the cultural landscape of the traditional villages in Western Beijing and applies it to assess these villages. The evaluation results show that: the three villages with the highest degree of cultural landscape resilience in traditional villages in Western Beijing are all historical and cultural villages, indicating that historically and culturally renowned villages exhibit significant advantages in cultural landscape resilience; the cultural landscape resilience of traditional villages in Western Beijing is characterized by diversity and complexity, which is primarily influenced by factors like material cultural landscape indicators. Finally, based on the evaluation results, the article proposes strategies to enhance the cultural landscape resilience classification of traditional villages proposes categorized enhancement strategies for cultural landscape resilience, grounded in the resilience framework of robustness, redundancy, and adaptive capacity.
