Abstract: Resource-dispersed traditional villages mainly refer to traditional villages where traditional building resources are scattered in the village area and cross with farmland and other land. Traditional villages with scattered resources are different from those with concentrated resources in terms of protection zoning, control measures, and protection and utilization methods. Taking Shipaifang Village and Sanduozhai Village in Sichuan Province as examples, this paper analyzes the characteristics and differences of resource dispersion of the two traditional villages, educes the characteristic value of the village pattern based on the dispersion of traditional buildings, puts forward the ways of protection and utilization, and summarizes the methods, with a view to enlightening the research on the ways and methods of protection and utilization of traditional villages with decentralized resource nationwide.
