Abstract:
The accelerated new urbanization has greatly promoted the social and economic development of small towns in Tibetan areas of Qinghai Province. However, with the increase of urban construction, ‘assimilation’ and ‘inland-trend’ of small town are becoming more and more serious, gradually losing its own characteristics. Therefore, on the basis of the style and the feature composition system of the small town, this study comprehensively analyzes the feature of small town in Qinghai Tibetan area from the perspective of natural, humanity, and artificial, systematically summarizes its basic elements constitute the feature characteristics. Taking Heri Town in Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as an example, it deeply discusses the shaping methods of small towns' features under the background of new urbanization, and puts forward the shaping strategies to define the style positioning, construct the style structure, and to guide the style characteristics. This study provides ideas and references for the shaping of small towns' style and feature in Tibetan areas of Qinghai Province.
