But at the same time, the spatial problems of island mountain villages have gradually become prominent. Affected by the geographical environment, complex terrain changes and unequal regional development conditions, island mountainous villages have some problems, such as the bottleneck of industrial economic development, the alienation of internal functional structure, and the deterioration of ecological environment. It is urgent to reconstruct and optimize rural space. Based on the theoretical connotation of ‘production-living-ecology spaces’, under the strategic background of rural revitalization, taking Nantian Island, Xiangshan County, Ningbo as an example, this paper analyzes the rural space of island mountainous areas from the perspective of ‘production-living-ecology spaces’, and summarizes that the production space of mountains, seas and forests are diverse, but the development is unbalanced and the space is disordered; the living space of settlement space layout is organic, but facilities lag and space alienation; the ecological space of Shanlin'ao Bay has a unique style, but it has the characteristics and problems of disaster interference and space deterioration. Then it puts forward strategies that the activation of island characteristic industries and the cooperative development of villages to promote production functions; mobile allocation of public services and creation of residential space characteristics to optimize living space; the optimization strategy of island rural space to improve the ecological space is to reshape the ecology of mountains, seas, forests and fields, and carve in the green landscape.
