Abstract: The rural functional unit proposed in this paper is a functional unit and management unit in rural areas, which is an innovative model of village planning. Based on the practice of Shu'an rural functional unit, this paper puts forward the idea of ‘integration of compilation and management’, carrying out the regulatory detailed planning control and active service management of the rural area, exploring the content of compilation and management of functional units. With space as the guide and function as the support, the planning defines the land layout, determines the functional use of land, proposes rigid and flexible management, control indicators and implementation guarantee measures. The planning forms a ‘unit management map’, which guides the planning implementation and realizes the integration of planning and management.
