Abstract: With the in-depth implementation of rural revitalization strategy in rural tourism construction, eco-tourism characteristic towns have received more attention and practice in urbanization tourism construction. However, the blind construction of some characteristic towns has brought many problems to natural ecology, human environment and local culture. From the perspective of ecological resource protection and rural economic revitalization, this paper classifies and summarizes the current problems by taking characteristic town greenway as the carrier. It put forward six-steps for planning and design method of the technical route that a micro-scale in eco-tourism characteristic town green channel in the network to the basic research, element selection, layered construction, system reconstruction, network optimization, industry. Then it took the greenway network design of Yinxin Valley Ecological Town in Zhashui County as an example to carry on the practice, to explore the ecological tourism characteristic town the greenway network linkage planning elements and methods. It is hoped to promote green development of small towns with distinctive features and help revitalize rural areas.
