Abstract: With the development of social economy and the change of material environment, intangible cultural heritage and its bearing space are facing severe challenges. It is urgent to explore the cultural and material heritage and carry out activation research. Taking Wujiagou Folktale Village in Danjiangkou City as an example, this paper analyzes the current situation and finds out the protection problems of ‘the material space is difficult to show the historical style’ and ‘the cultural space is gradually declining’. This paper attempts to identify the memory place of Wujiagou Village in Danjiangkou City by combining spatial exploration with spatial syntactic analysis, so as to arouse the collective memory of villagers. According to the recognition results of village memory places, this paper puts forward the planning and construction strategies of village memory place from the perspective of intangible cultural heritage from three aspects of ‘strengthening the spatial connection of memory place’, ‘constructing the spatial pedigree of memory place’ and ‘protecting the living scene of memory place’.
